Planetary Imaging

This is an introduction to the art of Planetary Imaging. It is intended to give those looking to capture images of the Planets a grounding in the tecniques used to capture and also process images. The following slides are from a presentation we offer to astronomy societes.

Imaging the planets requires a different approach to deep sky imaging in both the way it is carried out and how it is processed. Unlike deep sky, it is something that can be done successfully even from heavily light polluted areas and can be very rewarding. At Astrograph we specialise in planetray imaging. We keep the best and most versitile cameras and barlows for the task and of course dispersion correctors. If you would like to try your hand at planetary imaging, please contact us for advice.
