APM LZOS 175/1400 F8 Triplet APO Refractor - UNAVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The APM 175-1400 Super ED Triplet is probably the largest of our Apochromats that you can still transport easily.

The  large 175mm lens cell is made to our customary high standards by LZOS . Each telescope is custom made to order. As standard the 175 is fitted with a Starlight Instruments 3.5” focuser. Customers have options on Dew-Shield, Back Focus and even paint finish to name but a few of the possible options.

With an extra long 1400mm focal length, the 175-1400 provides detailed viewing of just about any object. By virtue of the superior contrast offered by our Apochromatic Refractors, planetary detail is utterly superb and deep sky objects are revealed with excellent contrast against the dark backdrop of space. Looking through the 175 you will experience a sense of ‘rightness’ about the image. No false colour, no softness. Just crystal clear views.

Imaging accessories for the 175-1400 include the APM Model 2 Flattener which features a 60mm corrected field. There is also a dedicated Massimo Riccardi designed APM Reducer. This changes focal length by a factor of x 0.75, resulting in a 1050mm focal length and fast f6 aperture.

As with all APM telescopes you will find the quality of the 175-1400 is not just limited to the fantastic lens cell, but throughout the tube design, its fine finish, the super smooth Starlight Instruments Feathertouch focuser and even the finely machined finder bracket. The 175-1400 is a quality instrument throughout and will reward you with years of visual and imaging discovery.
