The adapters shown here are to provide a male T2 thread (M42x0.75) at the end of an eyepiece. This then permits connection to cameras for projection or afocal imaging. In addition they can be used with Night Vision eyepieces to permit afocal use with long focal length types. An additional application is to provide very high magnification views of artificial stars for optical testing.
